Anteontem, o dublê Gary Connery, de 42 anos, tornou-se a primeira pessoa a saltar de uma altitude considerável e pousar em segurança sem o uso de um paraquedas, uma proeza inédita na História da aviação. Connery - que trabalhou em filmes como "007 -- Um novo dia para morrer", "Batman Begins" e "Indiana Jones ea caveira cristal" - vestia uma roupa especial conhecida como "wingsuit" que lhe permitiu sair de um helicóptero a 730 metros de altura (mais do que o Pico do Corcovado) e planar por menos de um minuto antes de aterrissar em uma pista improvisada de aproximadamente cem metros de extensão por 12m de largura e 3,5m de altura construída com 18,6 mil caixas de papelão. - Sinto-me incrível, completamente extasiado -- definiu Connery logo depois do salto. - Venho treinando e planejando isso há anos e estou orgulhoso de ter sido o primeiro no mundo. I mounted my iphone to my bike helmet to capture footage from my view. In this video you can see some of the steps involved in flying a kite when you are by yourself.
